Cornell University classmates and tennis teammates, Greg and Abishek, ventured into the world of Entrepreneurship several years ago, each separately, on opposite sides of the globe. Now Greg and Abishek are the co CEO’s and Managing Director’s of Indavest.

Abishek Laxminarayan founded his first company in Bangalore in early 2005, Surya Infotainment Products. After purchasing interests in the companies of L.B. Publishers and Distributors, Abishek leveraged his experience in finance and technology, and his knack for leadership in business, to turn SIP into a market
leader in the space. Prior to this highly successful entrepreneurial venture in Bangalore, Abishek had highly-praised careers in Investment banking (M&A) for Lehman brothers, and IT Project management for Deutsche Bank.

Gregory Artzt, in February of 2005, left his successful career at Citigroup in New York to join two colleagues in launching a Hedge fund known as the Element Capital Fund. With a small team of four, Greg was integral in all aspects of business and infrastructure development. He enhanced his expertise in Interest Rate options relative value trading, and ultimately became one of the fund’s most active traders.
Trading for his own relative value book, as well as the fund’s core trading account, Greg was able to help Element in returning consistently impressive returns to its investors. Prior to this venture on the “buy-side”, Greg spent three years on the “sell-side” working for Citigroup in Municipal bonds structured products and proprietary trading, as well as Interest rate options trading.
